For many years, an important component of our workshop offering has been the annual event on data privacy. The aim of the workshop is to give the institutes' data protection officers a platform for a practical exchange of information and knowledge under the expert guidance of an expert.
The ongoing implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) often poses challenges for operational practice. In our workshop, there will be an opportunity to discuss general and specific data protection issues and find approaches to solutions.
Focal points of the event include a joint exchange of practical experiences on the following topics, among others:
- Updating accountability documentation and processes (including data protection impact assessment, security incident reporting).
- Cross-border data traffic (including transfer impact assessments)
- Cookies & Co.
- Right to information according to Art. 15 DSGVO
In addition, participants will receive a broad overview of current developments in data protection, including the activities of the data protection supervisory authorities.
The event serves to provide proof of professional competence for company data protection officers.
The workshop will be led by Paul Gürtler, Data Protection Officer at TARGOBANK AG, Düsseldorf.
