The Association of German Banks consolidates its training courses in the Banking Academy
The banking industry – challenged by regulation and digitalisation – is changing every day. The need for continuing education and the exchange of information has increased significantly in recent years. In 2019 the Association of German Banks (BdB) is making itself fit for the future in this vital area by setting up the Banking Academy.
The Banking Academy consolidates the previous offerings of the Association of German Banks, Bank-Verlag and the former Vereinigung für Bankbetriebsorganisation (vbo), a training institution geared primarily to small and medium-sized private banks.
The programme offered by the new Banking Academy has been expanded in terms of content and now also includes digital further education. Our objective is to respond more rapidly to current developments with modern, innovative solutions.
Our growing programme is aimed first and foremost at the staff of our member banks. A number of events and continuous training measures will, however, also be open to a wider audience of banks, fintechs, insurance companies, asset managers, financial service providers and interested third parties.
