Aktuelle Entwicklungen im Bankrecht
This year, the Bankenakademie is organizing a symposium in Berlin as well as online via MS Teams to discuss current banking law rulings and report on new developments in banking law and practice as well as national and European legislation. The aim of the event is to provide participants with a summary overview of developments in banking law in 2026 and of the work of the bodies of the Banking Association dealing with legal issues.
The event will cover the following topics, among others:
- Terms and conditions law
- Data protection law
- Consumer protection (including case law)
- Credit law
- Credit collateral/insolvency law
- Sustainable finance
- Restructuring and resolution, as well as individual aspects of banking supervisory lawPrevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, and other
- compliance issues
- Legal issues relating to payment transactions
- Capital market law
- Legal issues relating to digitalization
The exact content of the event is currently being planned and will be available approximately 6 weeks before the start of the event.
The event will be chaired by Thorsten Höche, Chief Legal Counsel and Managing Director, BdB.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance as proof of their training.
