At a time when cyberattacks, IT disruptions, supplier failures and natural disasters can destabilise financial institutions at any moment, business continuity managers play a key role. They must identify risks at an early stage, understand complex interdependencies and respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency. The challenge lies in creating robust structures that safeguard day-to-day business operations – whilst simultaneously meeting increasing regulatory requirements.
In Bank-Verlag’s two-day certificate course, you will acquire in-depth knowledge and the confidence to act in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will learn how to establish and further develop an effective BCM system: from emergency organisation and business impact analysis to the clear definition of roles and responsibilities. You will gain a comprehensive overview of all relevant BCM components. In doing so, we take into account the current regulatory and normative requirements of the banking sector, including DORA, ISO 22301, BSI Standard 200-4, the 2018 Good Practice Guidelines, and the IBCRM Implementation Guide.
The course not only provides you with theoretical knowledge, but above all with practical implementation skills. You will learn to systematically assess risks and raise your organisation’s awareness of emergencies in a sustainable manner. In this way, you will lay the foundations for a swift response in the event of an emergency.
By successfully passing the final examination, you will demonstrate your qualification as an expert in business continuity management within credit institutions and strengthen your position as the key point of contact for your institution’s resilience.
