Speakers:

Prof. Dr. Christian Gaber
Christian Gaber is an honorary professor at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and head of Accounting Policies and Financial Reporting at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG. His primary areas of interest and work focus on the evaluation of complex financing transactions and the implementation of new accounting standards. The accounting for financial instruments, as well as bank accounting under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), are the subjects of his seminars and teaching activities.

Charly Gräfe
Charly Gräfe studied business administration and is currently a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Finance at the University of Münster. He is currently working as an associate in the Sustainable Finance Working Group of the German Banking Association, focusing on ESG reporting.

Eric Granzow
Mr. Granzow has been working at KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Frankfurt since March 2011. He serves as an auditor and senior manager there.

Christian Immesberger
Mr. Immesberger works at KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Frankfurt as an auditor, tax advisor, and senior manager.

Arne Klusmann
Mr. Klusmann is an attorney and a specialist in tax law. He advised small and medium-sized clients on tax law for over twenty years before joining the FDP parliamentary group in the Bundestag. Since May 2025, Arne Klusmann has represented the German Banking Association’s tax policy interests in Berlin.

Christian Moerler
Christian Moerler is a trained banker and earned a degree in business administration (FH) while working full-time. He has been the managing director of Severn Consultancy since 1999. His areas of expertise include, in particular, business process management in banks, IT management, project management, international securities settlement, and strategy development.

Silvia Schütte
Silvia Schütte began her professional career at the Sparkassenfinanzgruppe with an apprenticeship as an association auditor and subsequently worked in financial communications at a major bank. She has now been with the German Banking Association for many years and deals with a wide range of regulatory and accounting issues.

Oliver Seidel
Oliver Seidel is Associate Director at the Association of German Banks (BdB). There, he is responsible for digital identities and cybersecurity. In this role, he maintains ongoing communication with member institutions to identify and assess the current cybersecurity challenges facing banks and incorporate them into the association’s work. In addition, he represents the BdB on the ICT Expert Committee, which was initiated by BaFin and the Bundesbank. Among other things, the committee addresses the ongoing digitization of business processes in financial institutions and the resulting operational and cybersecurity risks. Oliver Seidel also participates in initiatives designed to provide institutions with guidance on emerging threat landscapes.
